Day 2. Bucharest – Stefanesti vineyard – Sibiu – Sibiel (250 km)

Breakfast at the hotel. Leave Bucharest and drive to Sibiu, along Olt river.
Winetasting and lunch at Stefanesti-Arges. The Stefanesti Wineyard is 10 km away from the town of Pitesti. 
First mentioned as early as the year 330 B.C., in a writing of the Greek historian Diodorus Siculus, the vineyard was reffered to in several medieval chronicles of Wallachia since 1388.
It mainly produces high quality wines like Feteasca Alba, Sauvignon Blanc, high quality red wines like Cabernet Sauvignon and Burgund Mare, as well as flavoured wines like Tamaioasa Romaneasca.
 
In the evening short sightseeing of Sibiu: Defence Wall, the Stairs', the Gate's, the Drapers', the Potters', the Carpenter's, the powder Mill Towers, Thick Tower, Council Tower.
 
In the evening we drive to Sibiel - a pitoresque Romanian village well-known for its Icons on Glass Museum: one of the most important collections of glass painting, with valuable icons from many regions of Romania. 
Accommodation in a small farm – Adrana’s family house. Dinner at gueshouse included. Traditional food and home make drinks.
