Winetasting and gourmet experience at Dealu Mare wine region

Program: Placed at just 70km North of Bucharest, the Dealu Mare Region is sown with wine estates and wine cellars, with more than one vocation in the form of sparkling, red, white, and rosé. The demand for wine in Romania, and in fact worldwide, has added 187,000 hectares of strapping vineyards in this region. Also nicknamed the “Tuscany of Romania”, Dealu Mare brings a large variety of wines like Tamaioasa Romaneasca, Sauvignon Blanc, Feteasca Neagra, Chardonnay, Merlot or Muscat at the Romanians tables.

Take this amazing day tour to relax yourself, endulge with quality wines and also see some marvelous sightings. The tour starts in the morning, from your hotel, and after a one hour drive, you spend the day with a guy in the Dealu Mare region, see the tour highlights and have a wine tasting session with a lunch, then in the evening head back to your hotel.

Highlights:

• Conacul Bellu – magnificent monument of Romanian architecture, built in the middle of the 19th century, by Baron Alexandru Bellu. The museum houses a mixed heritage of plastic and decorative art, ethnography (ceramics, fabrics, tools, Romanian carpets from the 19^th century), columns and capitals, door and window frames carved in stone from the 17-18^th century, rare books in luxury editions, paintings, earthenware, style furniture from various eras, oriental and far-eastern art (Japanese dishes and stamps, copper vessels, furniture), icons and weapons from the 18-19^th centuries.
• Velvet Winery – "boutique" winery concept located in the heart of the Dealu Mare wine region, the Tohani vineyard. The plantation, spread over 36 ha, is developed on terraces with southern exposure, offering privileged climatic conditions for obtaining wines of great complexity. Surrounded by a charming landscape, the winetasting is organized in a rustic gazebo, located right in the heart of the vineyard. 
• Conacul Ceptura (lunch) – The mansion preserves new-Romanian architecture with minimalist interiors - the elegant rooms are arranged with great taste, harmoniously combining the classic with the modern, with a distinct signature about wine. The visitors find here an oasis of peace and serenity with valuable talks about wine, offering an outstanding gourmet experience. First we walk through the vineyard, and then we continue tasting 5 wines, along with fine cheeses; at the end a hearty lunch – the fine dishes are savored with flavored wines.
