The wines of Dealu Mare

Program: the trip starts from Bucharest and head north, to the hills of Dealu Mare. First stop at Conacul Bellu museum. The area is also known as the Wine Road, a road that reproduces an older segment of a wine road used by the Romanians, which traversed Europe. At noon we arrive at Gramofon Wine –winetasting session. Return to Bucharest.

Highlights:

• Conacul Bellu – The "Bellu" mansion is an architectural monument, built in the old Romanian architectural style, in the middle of the 19^th century. It was the house of the Baron Alexandru Bellu family. The museum houses a mixed heritage of plastic and decorative art, ethnography (ceramics, fabrics, tools, Romanian carpets from the 19^th century), columns and capitals, door and window frames carved in stone from the 17-18^th century, rare books in luxury editions, paintings, earthenware, style furniture from various eras, oriental and far-eastern art (Japanese dishes and stamps, copper vessels, furniture), icons and weapons from the 18-19^th centuries.
• Gramofon Wine – a place where the wines have an organic development, the techniques and the complex winemaking processes used being meant to perfect and potentiating every flavor and taste.   The vineyard covers an area of 25 ha of land cultivated with vines, in a diverse palette, everything being replanted in 2009.
