Unleash your wild spirit and float free on the tumultuous Jiu River while admiring the superb canyon landscape. It seems that the river is caught in a vise between menacing rock walls, so the water flows rapidly, forming frothy eddies and hydraulics.
The Jiu River is the largest mountain river that flows freely and has no functional dams. It runs through the National Park of the same name, about 40 km long, being the longest whitewater route in the country.
There’re quite a few attractive active activities that the river is offering:
- kayak paddling;
- rafting;
- canyoning with ropes, passing through some 20 waterfalls;
- easy canyoning.
The guides have great river guiding experience, being internationally licensed, and they also get whitewater rescue technician license. In order to to increase safety the last generation equipment is used.
The program usually takes between 2 to 4 hours, depending to the activity type and also to the water level.
