Electric Castle

We are thrilled for this summer because it will be full of music festivals in Romania! And Electric Castle Festival is one of the most famous ones we have here, in the heart of Romania - Cluj, Transylvania! We are sure you have heard of it!

This year will be the 12th edition - wow, time has passed quickly since this festival established in 2013! And it only grew bigger and bigger over the years, welcoming some of the greatest artists from several music genres.

That is why plenty of fans from different countries gather around for the long weekend in Transylvania, to listen to quality music, share fun experiences and spend time in nature. The location of the festival is somewhere 30 km away from the city of Cluj, which is easy to reach from plenty of European cities, and one car ride away: a big plain in the village of Bontida, where the famous Banffy Castle guards the entrance to the festival. It's a mix of nature, architecture and modern vibes. 

The festival generates revenue for the Bontida community as a large number of locals convert their homes into hostels to provide accommodation for the festival goers. Others prefer to accommodate in tents, and others prefer the city of Cluj for the best hotels and do the commute daily to the festival grounds. No matter which option you choose, fun is guaranteed, because Romanian people around will make you feel welcome no matter what.

Each year the festival brings big international and local musicians but also other alternative arts in order to make the 4 days worth your time. Thanks to the variety of genres and approaches, everyone should be having fun and feel free here.
