Day 2: Bucharest – Sibiu - Sibiel

After breakfast, we drive through the valley of Olt River; first stop to admire the majestic of Cozia Monastery.

Known as the oldest and most complex historical and art monuments from Romania, Cozia Monastery was built between 1386-1388, being one of the most important foundations of the ruler Mircea cel Batran. 

 

Continue our journey to Sibiu CityEnjoy a relaxing city tour in one of the most visited areas in Romania. It holds one of the best preserved historical sites in the country, many of its medieval fortifications have being kept in excellent state. Its old center has begun the process for becoming a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004.

Sightseeing Sibiu: Defense Wall, the Stairs', the Gate's, the Drapers', the Potters', the Carpenter's, the powder Mill Towers, Thick Tower, Council Tower.

 

We conclude our journey in the charming village of Sibiel, a picturesque village, well-known for its icons on glass. Enjoy a traditional home-cooked dinner at a local guesthouse; accommodation at the guesthouse in Sibiel.
