Description
The International Musicology Symposium “GEORGE ENESCU – FROM KNOWLEDGE TO RECOGNITION” organized by Romanian Union of Composers and Musicologists in partnership with the Romanian Academy, Romanian Cultural Institute and National University of Music Bucharest between 7 – 11 september 2011.
The COMPOSITION WORKSHOP organized by the National Music University of Bucharest will take place between the 4th – 7th September 2011.
The INTERNATIONAL COLLOQUI DEDICATED TO GEORGE ENESCU organized by the musician Marcel Spinei in partnership with the Romanian Embassy in Athens and with the Romanians Association of Athens. The event will take place on Sunday, the 25th of September, at 17.00 in the reception rooms of the Romanian Embassy in Athens. After the Colloquy will take place a concert with the CONTEMPORAIN Ensamble, conducted by Marcel Spinei.
The FESTIVAL’S SQUARE
Concerts in the Festival’s Square are held in the George Enescu Square and represents a series of events that have become a real tradition of the Festival. George Enescu Square is located between the Romanian Athenaeum, the University Library and the Royal Palace. The Festival’s Square program will include:- Between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., concerts given by students from the Music Highschool, the University of Music in Bucharest and from all conservatories in the country (in collaboration with the Ministry of Education)
- Recitals given by soloists and ensembles of classical music
- Between 20.30 - 21.30, concerts and recitals given by professional artists from all over the country
- Between 21.30 - 22.30, screen projections with George Enescu and previous editions of the George Enescu Festival, but also different art films offered by the Romanian Television. The movie program will be retaken the next day at 11.00 a.m.
TICKETS AND SEASON TICKETS The organizers are provinding a large scale of facilities in order to help you get the tickets and the season tickets for the George Enescu Festival. In order to make the ticketing process more accessible, starting with this edition, tickets and season tickets will be available through direct sale, without any intermediary step (no booking forms will be necessary). You can buy season tickets starting on 15th of March, 2011. Singke tickets will be available from 15th of May, 2011.
